FAQs

Why plant another church?

1

We believe healthy local churches are God's primary means of making disciples. As Albuquerque continues to grow, we want to see more faithful churches established throughout our city so that more people hear the gospel and follow Jesus.

Where will the church meet?

2

We are securing a permanent meeting location on Albuquerque's west side. We hope to officially announce the location and share more details at our Interest Meeting on August 23.

When will the church begin meeting?

3

We hope to covenant together as a church in the Spring 2027, and have our first public gathering on Easter Sunday. Before then, we'll spend several months building our launch team, training volunteers, and establishing the culture and rhythms of the church together.

What kind of church will Resurrection be?

4

Resurrection Church will be a Bible-preaching, gospel-centered church committed to helping people know Christ, grow as his disciples, and make him known. We'll be sharing much more about our theology, philosophy of ministry, and distinctives during the Interest Meeting on August 23, and afterward here on the website.

Do I have to commit if I come to the Interest Meeting?

5

Not at all. The Interest Meeting is simply an opportunity to hear the vision, meet the leadership, ask questions, show support, and learn more. Afterward, anyone interested in joining the church plant will have an opportunity to meet personally with one of the pastors before making any commitments.

Who should consider joining the launch team?

6

You might be a great fit if:

  • You want to help establish a new church in Albuquerque.

  • You live, work, or spend significant time on the west side.

  • You're excited to serve, build relationships, and help make disciples.

  • You're willing to sacrifice comfort for the sake of Christ's mission.
